About Me

I started this blog in 2011 to document a year-long exchange I was on in Germany (from the United States). Read those posts if you want to, they’re not so bad.

Now, I possess a bachelors degree in anthropology, and since 2011 I have lived in Germany, the United States, Turkey, and now Denmark. I care a lot about people. I know a lot about women because I am a woman and I also wrote my bachelor’s thesis about women (German-Turkish women to be more specific). I’m in Denmark for my masters in Applied Cultural Analysis. We’ll see where it all leads.

This blog has morphed from travel blog to Katherine-blog. Of course there are bits and pieces of things I’ve learned while travelling, but at my ripe old age of 23, I’m realizing that it’s not the travelling that makes life interesting, it’s the way that you look at the world.

Browse as you please, share as you please, and feel free to contact me as you please (@nowthereisone on Twitter, which also has my ideas, just more concise).
